David S. Silvers, MD, is a practicing board certified neurologist, with additional certifications in electromyography and neuromuscular medicine. He opened a solo practice, Gardens Neurology, in Palm Beach Gardens in
August, 2014 and in April, 2015, opened up an Insomnia Center. Prior to Gardens Neurology, he was in a group neurology practice in Hartford, Connecticut for 18 years, where he was a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology, at the University of Connecticut. He was twice awarded the teaching award of neurology residents. While practicing in Hartford, he was on the Top Doctors list from 2010-2014. He has published several case reports in prestigious journals including Neurology, Journal of Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery and Muscle and Nerve. He specializes in general neurology, with particular interest in neuromuscular medicine, movement disorders, sleep medicine and traumatic brain injury/concussion. He gave a grand round lecture at Hartford Hospital on traumatic brain injury in 2013.
Dr. Silvers did his undergraduate studies at Princeton university. He received his MD at Tufts medical school. He completed two years of medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital. His neurology training was at the Harvard Longwood Program at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Beth-Israel / Deaconess.
His neuromuscular / EMG fellowship was at Brown University's Rhode Island Hospital.
Dr. Silvers has recently begun to do expert witness work to complement his clinical practice.
